James is a 17-year-old entrepreneur and leader of a new venture called Space Lounges — a revolutionary digital retail experience, which aims to bring together the physical and digital world in harmony.
Last year, he founded Thinkspace. Thinkspace is a non-profit organisation with the goal of encouraging young coders. Thinkspace received over 100,000 website views, 25,000 views on the launch video and attracted the interest of 400+ schools that wanted to build a Thinkspace of their own. The initiative inspired tens of thousands of students to ‘go out there’ and start their own projects and businesses. Through extensive PR and marketing strategies, the team managed to reach over 15 million people when it launched. Thinkspace has been featured on BBC, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Times, The Verge, WIRED, CNET, ZDNet, Microsoft, Virgin, The Next Web, LinkedIn and Business Insider. James has had experience working directly with Sir Richard Branson, Dick Costolo, Steve Wozniak, Stephen Fry, David Marcus, Dennis Crowley, Vic Gundotra, Jimmy Wales and others.
James’s current venture, Space Lounges, has been backed by Microsoft Ventures London and has a life goal of changing the face of retail. James will open the first store in late 2014.
